 3.  Separating Heaven and Earth

  •  Stand with feet shoulder width apart, ams handing at your side.
  • Place hands together in front of abdomen, palms facing, left on top. (As if holding a ball).
  • As you inhale, lift left arm above head and right arm down to your side.
  • Fully extend your arms until you feel a nice stretch.
  • Repeat on opposite side.
  • Repeat the exercise up to 9 times on each side.

 

Separating Heaven & Earth adjusts and regulates the functions of the stomach to improve digestion. It increases Qi circulation to the spleen to enhance your immune function.

   The exercise stretches all of the muscles of the rib cage to increase lung capacity and strengthens the chest, upper back, shoulders and arms. It also benefits the liver and gall bladder.
